Humans are social beings and they hardly can survive on their own. In the due course of one’s lifetime, they develop several attachments and when bereft of it, they face isolation and loneliness. In the new times, the phenomena of fear of missing out is recognized to which however has stuck to the social media roots. This study aims to understand the relationship between loneliness and fear of missing out among young adults and adults of various genders. For the purpose, UCLA Loneliness Scale version 3 by Daniel W. Russell and Fear of Missing Out Scale by Andrew K. Przybylski et. al was used to measure the levels of loneliness and fear of missing out in a sample of 40 males and 40 females, young adults and adults. Independent sample t test was carried out to find group differences in the levels of loneliness and fear of missing out and Pearson’s product moment correlation was employed to find the relationship between levels of loneliness and fear of missing out. The results
indicated that no significant gender differences or age differences are present in the levels of loneliness and fear of missing out among young adults and adults and no significant relationship was found between loneliness and fear of missing out in both the age groups. The findings of the study can be used to further understand the causation of fear of missing out and provide as a base to studies on loneliness and fear of missing out with other variables.

Aggression in high school student has always been a sense of concern and it has always questioned the student’s mental well-being. As high school is a period of immense changes and there is a need to cope with all the changes resulting in the student to face immense pressure, frustration and resulting into aggression. The aggression levels in the student have a proportional relation to their mental well-being. If a student possesses high aggressive behaviour, there is a tendency that the student has a low mental well-being which can hamper with his/her daily activities and many other relationships. The present study aims at understanding the effect of aggression on the mental well-being of high school students both gender-wise as well as class-wise. The study was carried on 132 students from schools of Delhi-NCR consisting of 66 males and 66 females of both classes 9 and 10. The data was collected using standardised questionnaires, namely, Buss and Perry Aggression Questionnaire and Multidimensional Students’ Life Satisfaction Scale. The data was sampled using snowball sampling. The results were analysed using Pearson’s Correlation and independent sample t-test carried out using SPSS v26.00. The results indicated that there was a relationship between aggression and mental well-being in high school students. On these lines, we did find that there will be an association between levels of aggression and the student’s mental well-being. Another major finding was that irrespective of gender differences (male and female), there was no difference between the aggression level on the mental well-being of the students and similarly the class division (class 9 and class 10) had no difference in the levels of aggression that effected the student’s mental well-being.
This comprehensive review explores the intricate relationship between cognitive flexibility and personality traits, with a particular focus on the Five-Factor Model (FFM) of personality. Cognitive flexibility, a crucial component of executive functions, enables individuals to adapt their thinking and behavior in response to changing environments and novel challenges. Through an extensive examination of current empirical studies and theoretical discussions, this paper synthesizes findings on how varying dimensions of personality, particularly openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism, influence and are influenced by cognitive flexibility. The review reveals a consistent association between openness and enhanced cognitive flexibility, while illustrating a more complex and nuanced relationship for other personality traits. The findings highlight the role of individual differences in cognitive processes and suggest that personality profiles may significantly impact an individual’s adaptive cognitive abilities. This synthesis not only contributes to a deeper understanding of the cognitive mechanisms underlying personality traits but also underscores the importance of considering personality dimensions in cognitive flexibility interventions and research.

Forensic psychology is a crucial field that acts as a bridge between psychology and the legal and criminal justice systems. Its primary objective is to ensure fairness and efficacy within the legal process by applying psychological expertise to a wide range of legal issues. In the 21st century, forensic psychology has undergone significant transformations due to advancements in technology and research methodologies. This paper offers an in-depth examination of a key aspect of this field: criminal profiling. Criminal profiling is a prominent application within forensic psychology, but it is imperative to recognize that it lacks precision as a science. Its accuracy can vary significantly, and this review seeks to clarify the multifaceted nature of criminal profiling and its fundamental components. By delving into the intricacies of this domain, we underscore the significance of possessing a profound comprehension of psychology, criminology, and law enforcement procedures for effective
criminal profiling. This review casts a spotlight on the dynamic character of criminal profiling, addressing its strengths, limitations, and evolving methodologies. It emphasizes the necessity for ongoing research and collaboration among experts in psychology, criminology, and law enforcement to enhance the precision and dependability of criminal profiling techniques. Ultimately, this paper highlights the complex interplay between forensic psychology and the legal system, emphasizing the role of criminal profiling as both a valuable tool and a subject of continuous refinement in the pursuit of justice.

Parenting styles are the way a parent chooses to discipline or care for their child. Parenting styles are defined on the basis of two aspects of behaviour: demandingness and responsiveness. Demandingness refers to parents control on behaviour of their child. Responsiveness refers to the degree of acceptance and sensitivity of parents towards their child’s developmental and emotional needs. Altruism is simply doing things or acts for others out of desire for helping and not because they have a selfish motive. The aim of this study is to understand the effect of maternal parenting styles on the altruistic behaviour of young adults. The objectives of this study are: To study the effect of maternal parenting style on altruistic behaviour among young adults and to study the gender differences among young adults in regards to their altruistic behaviour. The sample taken was N= 100 (50 males and 50 females). Two scales were used for data collection: Parental Authority Questionnaire and Self Report Altruism Scale. The results were that there is a significant effect of maternal parenting style on the altruistic behaviour of individuals. It was also proved that there is a significant difference between both male and female in regards to altruism. Women were found to be more altruistic as compared to men.
